About this deal

It’s safe and gentle, but even more importantly, it’s not a feared-by-everyone-mostly-without-scientific-reason paraben.

I am a fan of this moisturiser because it’s light, absorbs well into my skin and leaves it feeling soft and hydrated. I was initially expecting this to be quite watery but I actually like the gel consistency – it makes it easier to see where you’ve applied the product. Regarding conversion to AA, there seems to be no data about it, so we can neither deny nor confirm it.Most of the time, the natural fluctuation of hormones — whether that’s over the course of a month, or during different phases of your life — are the primary cause. It contains key ingredients to help soothe and protect the skin which is super important when using actives to prevent damaging the skin barrier and causing irritation with the inclusion of ceramides, niacinamide, panthenol, vitamin E and hyaluronic acid. My Dermatica Skin Glow treatment actually includes 4% azelaic acid… I think many of the other personalised formulas do too!

It can be used in many types of formulations as it has great thermal stability (can be heated up to 85°C) and works on a wide range of pH levels (ph 3-10). Keep in mind you must always use an SPF when you are using skin actives or when you have rosacea, so this cream will not be sufficient on its own in the morning. I would highly recommend Dermatica to anyone who cares about looking their best for as long as possible. If you’re still suffering from breakouts despite caring for your skin properly and eliminating acne triggers, don’t worry. Ceramides make up about 50% of the goopy stuff that's between our skin cells and play a super important role in having a healthy skin barrier and keeping the skin hydrated. In March of this year, Dermatica came out with a bunch of new skincare products to be used alongside their popular personalised plans. It’s rare that hormonal acne is a sign of an imbalance or health problem, although sometimes it could be an indicator of abnormal hormone levels caused by underlying conditions (such as polycystic ovary syndrome). If you’re interested in their prescription retinoid plan but you’re not sure if it’s right for you, take a look at my full review here.

Premenstrual symptoms, starting or stopping contraception (including pills, IUDs and implants) and hormonal changes during pregnancy and menopause can all result in acne breakouts. I wanted to see how much relapse I was getting after my Hydroquinone breaks (you have to take 3 month breaks every 6 months). These items don’t even have to be dirty, or have bacteria on them, to cause a breakout — the pressure on your oil glands is enough. I’ve been using it as my first cleanse in my double cleanse routine and it does a pretty good job of removing makeup. My skin felt moisturised and smooth, but I found the effect didn’t last and I soon wanted to apply more. It is very common in gel-type formulas that also contain an oil-phase as well as in cleansers as it also works with most cleansing agents (unlike a lot of other thickeners). Having tried many products before to help with my skin I can honestly say that I have been very impressed with Dermatica. Now the question is only this: If we put ceramides all over our face do they work as well as ceramides already naturally in our skin?
