About this deal

Recommendation: If you like boats, if you like Jack Sparrow, if you like pirates, if you like to build stuff, if you like coolness, if you like LEGOS, then get this set - NOW! I’d like to see it with one more hull section and a slightly larger cabin in the back with a few more play features. I have to say the box art is a little deceptive as well, featuring both cannons on one side of the ship, leaving their starboard side completely defenseless. I cannot wait to get the Queen Ann's Revenge Set, Lego Brick Beards Bounty (ship) and the Imperial Flagship(someday) and make a big pirates war. We aren’t entirely sure whether Lepin had made any improvements on the ship as the review photos were taken in Sept.

Like what has been pointed out on other reviews - this set may not be best suited for very young Lego builders - an adult may need to be present. Some LEGO® sets contain small parts that are NOT suitable for and may pose a hazard to children under 3 years of age.LEGO, the LEGO logo, the Minifigure and the brick and knob configurations are trademarks and/or copyrights of the LEGO Group of companies which does not sponsor, authorize or endorse this site. This is the rewritten version of the original review that we posted in the now deleted Facebook Page. While the Queen Anne’s Revenge was a pretty cool ship, where was the Black Pearl, Captain Jack Sparrow’s beloved ship? Turning off the personalised advertising setting won’t stop you from seeing Etsy ads, but it may make the ads you see less relevant or more repetitive. It wouldn’t be a ship without someone to sail her; six LEGO mini-figures are included to help recreate your favorite scenes.

Features large black sails, firing cannons, pirate flag, anchor and turning helm Also includes opening cabin with detailed interior Cast the anchor! He is also a member of the Playwell-Bricks designer team, a group of highly talented individuals who design and produce incredible projects of all shapes and sizes at the clients request. Then things changed and toys got “safe”, fingers weren’t burned, cannons stopped firing and kids were sad. Jack the monkey would have also been an excellent addition to the set, and I would happily lose one minifig for that. While Connor is pleased with the realism I have to admit I think it could be a bit longer, and not sit quite so low in the “water”.I thank you for your time in reading this - and I do hope that this review helps you make your purchase. C’mon, even Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse of the Black Pearl could be improved (perfect as it is). LEGO 4184 The Black Pearl was a 804 piece Pirates of the Caribbean set with 6 minifigs released in 2011.

Im surprised TLG waited this long to release it, as it would have sold better earlier I think, and it seems a tad early for a Holiday release.

You can change your choices at any time by visiting Cookie preferences, as described in the Cookie notice. Ever since the debut of the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise in 2003, the Black Pearlhas become one of the most iconic pirate ships in popular culture and an inspiration for ship builders and pirates fans worldwide. When it was finally released, instead of unbridled glee, the reception within the AFOL community was met with an echoing thud!
