About this deal

doesn't seem to really lose any significant content in terms of overall spacing that the top channels may have delivered.

Yes there may be lots of sitting around and talking but when Paul starts strumming his bass and George joins in, despite appearing to meander aimlessly, it eventually turns into a nascent ‘Get Back’.

Another thing I noticed video-wise comparing the DVD to Blu-ray is that the on-screen dialog captions that come up when The Beatles are talking look much smaller and sharper on this new Blu-ray version much like what I saw on Disney+. And Paul kept insisting John play it over and over…causing John to have that I’m-about-to-storm-outa-here look. I can't help but wonder just how much sales of Beatles music and movies will fall off as the Boomer generation dies. Michael Lindsay-Hogg was hired to direct and shoot the rehearsals, which would be incorporated into the TV special. Use the thumbs up and thumbs down icons to agree or disagree that the title is similar to The Beatles: Get Back.

Once you get beyond obvious questions like, “Why all these years did each Beatle treat Let It Be (movie) as an accurate depiction of the state of their band when Peter Jackson proves the opposite? The conflicts and resolutions are pitch-perfect here and of course, everyone knows how it all concluded, with that iconic, short concert on top of a roof for whoever was happening to walk to work that day. It is long, so make sure you're sitting comfortably, but it's in three parts so it's quite easy to take a break. But it's with the music cues and the live band starting to perform is where this mix truly takes off.But during this time, there was great tension between the bandmates with issues ranging from solo careers, a new direction of style, and other problems. Having watched this, you’ll ask yourself whether these sessions really were as bad as we were first led to believe. This set has certainly not been made widely available at least as far as I can see and the complete silence from Disney about the total cluster of this release speaks volumes. If that was Peter Jackson’s intention – to make these sessions seem like you are actually here – then he achieved it well and it works for me. Unfortunately, the video presentation here is perhaps the worst transfer to Blu-ray in a long time - if not ever.
