About this deal

It features Romana Widenková as Jenny, Markéta Stehlíková as Lauren, Václav Šanda as Sam and Jan Hájek as Ben. I’d be curious to see it live in that it includes mounting tension about the supposed ghosts with sound cue jump scares but it also includes an interesting debate among the characters about belief versus science.

The home in question, designed by Anna Fleischle, is stunning by utilising the whole stage the cross section gives the illusion of being a fly on the wall in a real home. Me and Liz were too scared to talk about it initially, but when we finally did, we realised that we were both having similar experiences. But the show proved so amazingly successful that it re-opened (in a new theatre, with an all-new cast) within weeks of its original run closing.

Having seen it in the west end, I felt the play was poorly written and any real suspense was lacking and not really much action in the first play and the ending was weird and unsatisfactory. I also think about people in my own life who are similar to the character of Ben and mash it all up together. George Rainsford (who will play Sam) said: ‘I can’t wait to join the cast of 2:22 A GHOST STORY, working with an amazing cast and crew. Any fan of theatre, ghost stories, or good art should read this play, but it's even better on-stage. These (courtesy of screaming foxes) do not really arise from the plot or characters and could be seen as somewhat unearned. But still a good read, that should have taken me a day but due to uni and working has taken me like a week. Jenny and Sam have just moved into their new house with baby Phoebe and have invited Lauren and Ben round for housewarming dinner. Overall, she decided, "This show is not scary enough to cause nightmares, nor is it gruesome or graphic or gory; it's more human than the creepiest horror movies.

There’s a door to a guest toilet – sink and cupboards visible – and another door to the hall, through which we see recently polished floorboards and stairs. It is clear that this paranormal activity, supernatural occurrences, ghosts, however you refer to these ideas is a field that Robins is devoted to and passionate about, and this knowledge bleeds into the play effortlessly. They both arrive at cataclysmic climaxes, and they carry those moments with a sense of shock and awe. It's a great play, the combination of a creepy ghost-story and somewhat of a social commentary, all of which made a little more sense having read the introduction and paid attention to the stage directions which made me realise there were things I'd missed during the performance. There are few works that are as well-written, perfectly thought-out, or are as filled with great dialogue as this one. A holistic solution for event organizers to market and manage their token-gated events, all in one place. Set in the house of married couple Sam ( Scott Karim) and Jenny (Cheryl) with their newborn baby, the tension starts as we meet Jen, clearly on edge, who has finish painting a door frame and at 2.

Cheryl, Hugo Chegwin, Louise Ford and Scott Karim will be playing at the Lyric Theatre, London from 21 January 2023 to 23 April 2023. But his arrogant rationalism feels like a betrayal to Jenny, who resents living in a scary house she had reservations about from the start. The script is so much more than a scary story, if you were to strip out the ghostly elements you would be left with a domestic drama that would still work on plenty of levels – a husband and wife having their relationship tested, a friend and her new boyfriend ready to throw a spanner in the works. He has a fine ear for dialogue and eye for emotional faultlines [but] it's the extremely cleverly worked supernatural angle that keeps things fresh. The cast featured Gemma Ward as Jenny, Ruby Rose as Lauren, Daniel MacPherson as Ben and Remy Hii as Sam.On 10 February 2023, it was announced that the play will embark on a UK tour starting at the Theatre Royal, Bath on 1 September with dates until May 2024. A contemporary haunted-house chiller that smartly plays with all the old tropes and leaves the room electric with fear. The design itself feels otherworldly, its gaping chasm between kitchen and living room unsettlingly off, but in a way that creeps into the audience's consciousness. Jenny is a sympathetic character, ignored and undermined by her smarmy husband, as she pleads for attention and declares a vigil to determine the source of the mysterious noises coming through the baby monitor. Written by Danny Robins, creator of the hit BBC podcasts Uncanny and The Battersea Poltergeist, 2:22 A Ghost Story comes To Theatre Royal Brighton with actor Joe Absolom taking centre stage in this edge-of-your-seat, supernatural thriller.
