About this deal

I can't content myself with mp3, and sorry if it sounds as a vent of frustration rather than a review. It is updated to add the beatless atmospheric tracks that have always been integral parts of the complete CD versions. We are available to book for live shows and events, as well as bespoke licensed music for videos, commercials, TV, film and more. A muffled clatter of shutters, hissing neon lights, snatches of conversation and music drifting down from open windows. The vinyl features a free and unique download code, black inner sleeves and 180g vinyl in a thick card sleeve.

Already available as a special edition CD and digital album, we now offer a 1000 piece limited pressing on lucent orange vinyl, in spot-gloss sleeve with additional artwork by Optigram . Certain items can take longer to source than the estimated week, particularly during busy trading periods and may take longer to arrive at our warehouse. Sounding so different, so removed and far away from anything else, it changed the game entirely - and created a whole school of imitators in its wake. Untrue' is available as full 13 track digipack CD, including recent underground hit 'Ghost Hardware', and 9 track DJ friendly double vinyl set, from which some of the beatless pieces have been edited.I'm sure this album won't appeal to the older generation due to its electronic and club-like nature, but in my opinion with true music like this, the genre is totally irrelevant. Treble – high frequencies – a wide range of generated and found sounds which range from the crisp and clear to the dark and murky. Of all the artists past and present who claim to let their music do the talking for them, Burial is one of the elite band of whom this truly is the case.

step garage rhythms are drenched with glowing, ethereal synths and vinyl crackle, and where vocals appear, they're heavily treated, chopped-up and pitch-shifted, until they sound like the coos and croons of a particularly soulful angel. I can partially understand the choice to leave apart Ghost Hardware for a separate dj-friendly release etc, but seriously, this puzzled me. I know that Burial was making an homage to the dance music he grew up listening to/sort of hearing or remembering outside of clubs, and it sounds almost disrespectful to say it, but this is much more than a dance music album. My pre-owned copy is a little scratched up, but the pops just blend into the dusky haze of this music so well that it’s not distracting. Unlike the overpoweringly melancholic prevailing mood of before, Burial's sound is now better defined as a downcast euphoria typified by the epic, muted optimism of the album's last track 'Raver'.

Overflowing with charisma, sometimes reminiscent of Grace Jones, this album is fiercely sassy and celebratory. Updated to add the beatless atmospheric tracks that have always been integral parts of the complete CD versions.kicking off with the skittering 2step syncopations and vocal science of 'Archangel', 'Near Dark' and 'Ghost Hardware', before long it descends into a space of radiant divas and ambience.
